Iran, Russia, Oman conduct joint naval drills in Indian Ocean
Iran, Russia and Oman have launched joint naval exercises in the Indian Ocean, with Saudi Arabia, India, Thailand, Pakistan, Qatar and Bangladesh participating as observers.
According to Iranian state television on Saturday, Iran is hosting the IMEX 2024 drills, which aim to 'strengthen regional collective security and foster multilateral cooperation.'
While Iran, Russia, and Oman are actively involved in the naval maneuvers, the observer nations are contributing to the strategic significance of the event. These exercises are part of broader efforts by the involved countries to bolster military partnerships and enhance maritime security in this crucial region.
