Saudi crown prince says Israel committing 'genocide' in Gaza
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has condemned Israel’s actions in Gaza as 'genocide' in some of the harshest public criticism of the country by a Saudi official since the start of the war.
Speaking at a gathering of Muslim and Arab leaders, he also denounced Israel's attacks on Lebanon and Iran, cautioning against any Israeli assault on Iranian territory, a stance that reflects a warming relationship between Riyadh and Tehran.
Alongside other leaders at the summit, Saudi Arabia’s crown prince called for a full Israeli withdrawal from both the West Bank and Gaza.
Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan Al-Saud echoed this sentiment, criticizing the 'international community's failure' to halt the Gaza conflict and accusing Israel of imposing severe hardships, including starvation, on the people in the region. He stated, 'The global community has fallen short in ending the immediate conflict and stopping Israel's aggression.'
