Iran launches ballistic missile strikes in Iraq and Syria

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched ballistic missiles targeting what they claimed were Israeli 'spy headquarters' in Iraq's Kurdistan region and locations linked to ISIS in northern Syria.

The attacks led to at least eight explosions in Erbil, the capital of Iraq's semi-autonomous Kurdish region. According to the regional security council, four people were killed, and six were wounded.
The IRGC stated that ballistic missiles were utilized to eliminate alleged espionage centers and gatherings of anti-Iranian terrorist groups in the targeted regions.
Iran's government condemned the attacks on Erbil, describing them as aggression that violated Iraq's sovereignty and the security of its people.
The IRGC specifically claimed to have targeted the headquarters of the Israeli spy agency Mossad in Erbil. The statement from the IRGC mentioned the destruction of one of Mossad's main espionage headquarters in Iraq's Kurdistan region in response to what they referred to as recent atrocities committed by the Zionist regime, resulting in the killing of commanders of the Guards and the Axis of Resistance.
