China says 90 countries have confirmed attendance for Belt and Road Initiative

China announced on Thursday that a total of 90 countries have confirmed their participation in the upcoming Belt and Road Initiative conference, set to take place in October.

The third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation (BRF) is scheduled to convene in Beijing this October, as previously announced by the foreign ministry. This year's event carries added significance as it coincides with the 10th anniversary of the initiation of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
Numerous foreign leaders are expected to grace the occasion with their presence, with reports indicating the attendance of leaders such as Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Argentine President Alberto Fernandez, as per state media reports.
Furthermore, Russian President Vladimir Putin is slated for a visit to China in October, coinciding with the hosting of the One Belt One Road forum, as revealed by Putin's aide Yuri Ushakov, as reported by Russia's state news agency TASS. Ushakov stated, "We have received an invitation and plan to go to China," as detailed in a report from the Global Times.
China's foreign ministry also emphasized the extensive reach of the Belt and Road Initiative, noting that the country has inked Belt and Road cooperation agreements with over 150 nations and more than 30 international organizations, as reported by Xinhua.
