30 killed in Pakistan in military drive

Thirty terrorists were killed in three separate operations in Pakistan's northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the military said on Saturday.

The security forces conducted intelligence-based operations in Lakki Marwat, Karak and Khyber districts of the province, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistan Army, said in a statement.

During the operation in Lakki Marwat, 18 terrorists were killed and six others injured, said the ISPR statement. Another eight terrorists were killed in the Karak district. In the third encounter, four terrorists were killed including ring leaders, and two others got wounded, the ISPR said.
