Japan's new leader to hold snap general election on Oct. 27

Shigeru Ishiba, Japan's newly elected ruling party leader and soon-to-be prime minister, has decided to hold a general election on Oct. 27, according to a report by Tokyo-based Kyodo News on Sunday.
