Over 40 US lawmakers expected to boycott Netanyahu's address to Congress
Over 40 US lawmakers are expected to boycott an address to Congress by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday.
Netanyahu's speech to a joint session of Congress is in response to an invitation extended by House Speaker Mike Johnson and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.
Sen. Bernie Sanders, who has been a vocal critic of Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, said, “Netanyahu should not be welcomed into the U.S. Congress."
