China successfully launches Tianhui-5 satellite
China achieved another milestone in its space endeavors on Wednesday by successfully launching a satellite into orbit designed for various missions, primarily focusing on geographical information mapping.
This feat was made possible by a modified version of the Long March-6 carrier rocket, which carried the Tianhui-5 satellite. The liftoff occurred in the morning from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center, located in north China's Shanxi Province, as reported by the state-run Xinhua News agency.
As per Xinhua News, the Tianhui-5 satellite has smoothly transitioned into its pre-designated orbit. This satellite is poised to play a vital role in a multitude of missions, including geographical mapping, land resource surveying, conducting scientific experiments, and several other significant tasks.
