Earthquake tremors felt in parts of India and Pakistan
A strong earthquake of 6.0 magnitude jolted parts of Pakistan on Sunday, with no loss of life so far. Tremors were also felt in in Srinagar and Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir of India as well as in China and Afghanistan.
According to certain Indian media reports, the tremors, which lasted for a few seconds, were also felt across Delhi and parts of Punjab and Haryana on Sunday morning.
Pakistan-based news outlets said the tremors were felt across Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Attock and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir, prompting people to rush out of their homes and high-rise buildings in panic.
No loss of life or property has been reported so far. Pakistan often witnesses earthquakes of varying magnitudes.
Details reveal that earthquake occurred at 10:50am and the epicentre of the earthquake was located in the border region between Afghanistan and Tajikistan.
Meanwhile, the depth of the quake was 223 kilometre deep, which is why it was felt in several countries including Pakistan, China, Afghanistan and India.
