US welcomes Interim Government's efforts to ensure public safety in Bangladesh

The United States has expressed support for the steps taken by Bangladesh’s interim government to uphold the safety and security of its citizens.
During a press briefing on Wednesday, US State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce acknowledged the efforts of the transitional administration, highlighting Washington’s interest in the country’s ongoing stability.
Her remarks came in response to questions about recent statements by US Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, who raised concerns about Islamist extremism in Bangladesh and alleged attempts to establish an Islamist caliphate.
“We firmly denounce any form of violence or intolerance targeting minority communities anywhere in the world,” said Bruce.
She added that the US government is closely observing developments in Bangladesh, while recognizing the interim authority’s initiatives aimed at maintaining peace and order. “We are monitoring the situation closely. These efforts to preserve stability are noted and expected to continue,” she stated.
