India-Pakistan exchange list of nuclear installations

India and Pakistan exchanged lists of their nuclear installations and facilities on Wednesday, adhering to an agreement that prohibits attacks on each other's atomic facilities.

The exchange occurred simultaneously through diplomatic channels in New Delhi and Islamabad. 'India and Pakistan today exchanged, through diplomatic channels, the list of nuclear installations and facilities covered under the Agreement on the Prohibition of Attack Against Nuclear Installations and Facilities,' stated the Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
This marks the 34th consecutive exchange of such lists, a tradition that began on January 1, 1992.
The agreement, signed on December 31, 1988, and implemented on January 27, 1991, requires both nations to share details of their nuclear installations annually on January 1.
