Pakistan conducts ballistic missile test
Pakistan on Wednesday conducted a successful flight test of a ballistic missile in the Northern Arabian Sea. Shaheen-III_ the surface-to-surface ballistic missile_ has a range of 2_750 kilometers (1_708 miles)_ according to an army statement.
The test flight was aimed at re-validating various design and technical parameters of the weapon system_ the ISPR said. The successful flight test_ with its impact point in the Arabian Sea_ was witnessed by General Nadeem Raza_ Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC)_ Lieutenant General Nadeem Zaki Manj_ Director General Strategic Plans Division_ Lieutenant General Muhammad Ali_ Commander Army Strategic Forces Command_ Dr Raza Samar_ Chairman NESCOM and scientists and engineers.
General Nadeem Raza congratulated scientists and engineers on the conduct of the successful test. He asserted that Pakistan desires peaceful co-existence in the region and its strategic capability is to deter any aggression against the sovereignty of Pakistan.
The CJCSC appreciated the technical prowess_ dedication and commitment of scientists and engineers_ who contributed whole-heartedly in making the missile launch successful.
President Arif Alvi_ Prime Minister Imran Khan_ and the three services chiefs congratulated the scientists and engineers on the successful missile test.
