India's BJP invites Bangladesh Awami League to observe national elections

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has extended an invitation to the Bangladesh Awami League to observe the extensive preparations and campaign efforts underway for the national elections in India.

This invitation was confirmed through a press release issued by Sayem Khan, the deputy office secretary of the Awami League.
According to the release, the general elections for the Lok Sabha are being conducted in seven phases across various states of India. The ruling BJP has reached out to select foreign political entities to witness firsthand the comprehensive groundwork and campaigning strategies being employed for these elections.
India, which has the world's largest democracy, has confidence in Bangladesh Awami League as well as Sheikh Hasina's leadership and thus, considers Awami League as one of the most important organisations in South Asia and their true friends.
The invitation letter dispatched to the Bangladesh Awami League specifically requests the presence of a representative from their ranks to observe and engage with the BJP's electoral preparations and campaign initiatives.
Responding to this call, AL's information and research secretary MP Salim Mahmud has been nominated by the Awami League President to undertake the visit to India as their representative.
Scheduled as a five-day excursion, the tour is slated to conclude on May 5th. During this visit, the Awami League representative will have the opportunity to engage with senior leaders of the BJP, fostering dialogue and understanding between the two prominent political entities.
