Bangladesh envoy to UK wins Diplomat of the Year Award

Bangladesh High Commissioner to the United Kingdom Saida Muna Tasneem has received the 'Diplomat of the Year Award 2024' from the globally eminent Diplomat Magazine. The award ceremony took place in London, where the High Commissioner received the accolade from Sir Lindsay Hoyle, the Speaker of the British Parliament.

In 2023, Saida Muna Tasneem was elected as the President of the Women Diplomacy Network in London, a platform comprising women Ambassadors to the Court of St James’s. Additionally, she continues to serve as the elected first Vice President of the 133rd Assembly of the International Maritime Organization, a position she secured in December 2023.
Tasneem's dedication and leadership have not gone unnoticed. In 2022, she was previously honored with the Diplomat of the Year Award for her remarkable contributions to climate diplomacy in London, particularly in the lead-up to COP26.
The Diplomat of the Year Award is a prestigious annual accolade presented by Diplomat Magazine UK. Recipients are selected based on their exceptional contributions to diplomacy in the UK. Nominations for the award are voluntary and are voted on by UK-based diplomats representing over 180 countries with resident missions in London.
