Deadly blast hits Pakistani city of Peshawar

A fatal explosion has occurred in the northwestern Pakistani city of Peshawar, resulting in at least two casualties, as confirmed by local police officials.

The blast took place in the vicinity of the Board Bazaar area, situated in Peshawar, the capital of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. One individual has sustained injuries in the incident and has been admitted to Lady Reading Hospital in critical condition.
According to reports from local media outlets, the explosion was caused by explosives planted on a motorcycle. Geo News TV station broadcasted footage depicting a charred motorcycle lying in the center of the road, surrounded by security personnel who had cordoned off the area.
Peshawar police chief Kashif Abbasi said that preliminary investigation suggested that the suspected bomber was also killed in the blast.
