Qatar keen to help making global media in Bangladesh
Qatar expressed its desire to assist in development of media and creating global media in Bangladesh.
This commitment was reiterated during a meeting between Mohammad Ali Arafat, the State Minister for Information and Broadcasting of Bangladesh, and Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Thani Al-Thani, the Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Media Corporation. The meeting took place in Turkey on a Saturday afternoon, according to an official statement.
The meeting occurred on the sidelines of the Islamic Conference of Information Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states in Istanbul.
During their discussions, Arafat and Al-Thani explored avenues for enhancing bilateral cooperation, drawing upon Qatar's expertise in establishing global media entities like Al Jazeera. The official release highlights the fruitful nature of their dialogue.
Additionally, both parties agreed to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experiences between Bangladesh and Qatar in the realms of media and culture. They expressed optimism that such collaborations would contribute to the further development of bilateral relations between the two nations.
