Sheikh Hasina seeks enhanced Chinese cooperation for Bangladesh's development
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has called on China, labeling it one of Bangladesh's largest development and strategic partners, to bolster cooperation and accelerate the nation's development trajectory.
During a meeting with Chinese Communist Party's Vice Minister of the International Department, Sun Haiyan, at the Gono Bhaban, Hasina expressed the hope for increased support from China during the new government's tenure.
Acknowledging China's significance to Bangladesh's development, Prime Minister Hasina emphasized, "China is one of the most important development and strategic partners of Bangladesh. We hope that during the new government's tenure China will help us more than previous times to continue the development journey of Bangladesh."
During the courtesy meeting, Sun Haiyan conveyed greetings from Chinese President Xi Jinping, expressing confidence in Sheikh Hasina's reelection. Sun Haiyan highlighted Hasina's commitment to transforming the fate of the people and her patriotism toward the country and its citizens.
The Chinese vice minister also extended congratulations on behalf of the Chinese government and the Communist Party of China (CPC) for Sheikh Hasina's reelection as Prime Minister.
