‘Bangladesh to continue support for UN Peacekeeping Agenda'

Bangladesh's Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen has reaffirmed the nation's commitment to supporting the United Nations' Secretary-General's Action for Peacekeeping agenda, ensuring continued backing for Antonio Guterres seven priorities.

FM Momen emphasized that Bangladesh's enduring support for these priorities aligns with the foundational principles of the country's foreign policy, inspired by the vision of the nation's founding leader, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. This steadfast stance consistently propels Bangladesh to actively engage in UN peace initiatives, including the promotion of a culture of peace, active participation in peacekeeping operations, and facilitating peacebuilding efforts.
Addressing the UN Peacekeeping Ministerial held in Accra, Ghana, Dr. Momen, as a panelist, highlighted Bangladesh's unwavering commitment to peacekeeping endeavors on the global stage.
Leading a prominent delegation from Bangladesh, Dr. Momen pledged the nation's dedication to peacekeeping efforts on behalf of Dhaka at the UN Peacekeeping Ministerial, underscoring Bangladesh's ongoing commitment to global peace initiatives.
Earlier, on the sidelines of the Ministerial Bangladesh's Foreign Minister engaged in a meeting with his Hungarian counterpart, Peter Szijjarto. The discussion between the two ministers encompassed various matters of mutual interest, fostering a warm and amicable atmosphere conducive to productive dialogue.
