G-20 summit
Narendra Modi to host bilaterals with Biden, Macron and Sheikh Hasina
Indian Premier Narendra Modi, amidst the tight schedule of the G-20 summit, is set to engage in bilateral discussions with prominent world leaders.
On Friday evening, he is scheduled to meet with US President Joe Biden, followed by a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron after the conclusion of the high-level summit on Sunday.
Prime Minister Modi is keen on hosting dinner for President Biden and lunch for President Macron, his two close associates.
However, the exact timing of these events hinges on President Biden's arrival schedule on Friday and President Macron's departure to Dhaka on Sunday, following the conclusion of the G-20 summit. While President Biden is anticipated to be invited for dinner on Friday, it will be contingent on his jet-lag situation.
President Macron, on the other hand, is inclined to join PM Modi for lunch on Sunday afternoon, which will be accompanied by bilateral discussions.
In addition to these crucial meetings, it has come to light that PM Modi is planning to engage in bilateral talks with Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The two leaders have not had the opportunity for a substantial bilateral conversation in recent months, making this interaction all the more significant.
