Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov likely to visit Dhaka
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is expected to undertake a visit to Bangladesh on the 7th and 8th of September to engage in discussions covering a spectrum of topics of mutual interest. These discussions are anticipated to encompass bilateral, regional, and global issues.
Following his visit to Bangladesh, Minister Lavrov is slated to participate in the G20 Summit, scheduled to take place in New Delhi from the 9th to the 10th of September. This upcoming diplomatic visit underlines the importance of dialogue and collaboration on various fronts.
During his stay in Bangladesh, Minister Lavrov is set to hold discussions with Bangladesh's Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, in addition to a bilateral meeting with Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen. This visit underscores the continued efforts to foster diplomatic relations and cooperation between the two nations.
It's worth noting that Minister Lavrov had been scheduled to visit Bangladesh on the 23rd of November last year. This visit was primarily intended for his participation in the 22nd IORA (Indian Ocean Rim Association) Council of Ministers meeting, which was slated for the 24th of November in Dhaka. the visit was canceled at the last moment.
