The Khasi Students Union (KSU) on Wednesday put up posters in Shillong targeting the Bengali community in Meghalaya. Some of the posters read_  All Meghalaya Bengalis are Bangladeshis and  Khasiland for Khasis; Foreigners Go Away. The posters were later removed by police.  It is hereby informed that banners that were displayed today in public places_ have been removed. We request all concerned to kindly co-operate with us in promoting peace and harmony in the State_ Meghalaya Police tweeted. In February_ a taxi driver died in a fight with local villagers during an anti-CAA protest in Ichamati_ Meghalaya. He is alleged to have left the village in fear of the local Bengalis. The police caught many. The militant organisation HNLCO immediately threatened to leave the Bengali state. Recently_ Fer complained that the men of Ichamati are still not allowed to return to their villages_ to do business. Women and children in the village are being abused. The National Commission for Women has submitted a report to the state. But the investigation and the local villagers' statements did not prove the torture. We have been in the MOVEMENT of the Bengali organization_ CRPC in Barak. Susmita Devo_ president of the All India Women's Congress_ also opened up about the Bengali nigra in the meghalaya. On Tuesday_ hundreds of people went to Malidhar in The District of Kadar and chanted slogans to the Government of Meghalaya asking for the safety of the Bengali speakers. Representatives of Bengali organizations complained to the Governor of meghalaya_ "The police_ judiciary_ administration_ student organizations_ militants - all have been united against the Bengalis. Soon after_ kSU posted posters calling all Bengalis in the meghalayas Bangladeshi. Somewhere_ it says_ "Bangladeshis stop the persecution in Meghalaya_ Tripura_ Assam and Mizoram. Susmita Dev was also warned not to be a nose-to-nose about the temple. Susmita Devi tagged the poster with the image of the prime minister and the Chief Minister of the Meghalaya Conrad Sangma_ writing in a tweet_ "The persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh is far away_ banners like this in the meghalayas! What is more evidence of the persecution of Bengalis in the country?' the state government said_ communal or verbal discrimination is never desirable. The police went and removed all the banar after they found out. "Susmita Dev suddenly wants to create a debate by using bengalis in the meghalayas_ looking at elections in Bangla and Assam_" The Interior Minister of Meghalaya Lakmen Rimbui said on Wednesday. It will not be good for anyone. "We are talking to The Khasi and Bengali organisations so that the situation is not bad_" said Conrad Sanma_ chief minister of the Meghalaya.
