Modi trying to prevent disruption in Bangladesh-India relations: Tripura minister
Transport and Tourism Minister of India's Tripura state, Sushanta Chowdhury, has said that no matter which government comes and goes in Bangladesh, the leaders are trying to prevent disruption in bilateral and diplomatic relations between India and its neighbouring country.
During a press briefing held on the evening of August 31 in Agartala, the capital of Tripura, Sushanta Chowdhury highlighted that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is actively working towards this goal. He expressed hope that Bangladesh's Chief Adviser, Dr. Muhammad Yunus, would also contribute to these efforts.
Chowdhury further mentioned that the Indian government is committed to establishing direct flights between Agartala and Chattogram, despite the current challenges in Bangladesh.
'We firmly believe that our relations with Bangladesh will strengthen, though it is too early to make definitive statements. We are making advanced preparations and are optimistic that the Agartala-Chattogram flights will commence soon,' he added.
