India rejects China's 'Invented Names' for Arunachal pradesh
India has vehemently rejected China's recent attempts to rename places in the northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh, affirming that such actions will not alter the state's status as an integral part of India.
In response to media inquiries regarding China's release of a fourth list of 30 new names for various places in Arunachal Pradesh, India's Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) issued a firm statement denouncing these efforts.
MEA Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal emphasized, 'China has persisted with its senseless attempts to rename places in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. We firmly reject such attempts. Assigning invented names will not alter the reality that Arunachal Pradesh is, has been, and will always be an integral and inalienable part of India.'
This statement comes in the backdrop of China's recent escalations in asserting its claims over Arunachal Pradesh. India's stance on the issue remains unwavering, with the MEA reiterating on March 28 that Arunachal Pradesh 'was, is and will always remain' an integral and inalienable part of India, regardless of any baseless claims made by Beijing.
