China, India agree to 'maintain peace' along border areas
China and India have reached a mutual consensus to uphold peaceful and calm conditions across their border regions, as indicated by a shared declaration from China's defense ministry.
This accord emerged during the 19th session of the China-India Corps Commander Level Meeting on Tuesday.
During this meeting, both nations engaged in a productive, positive, and thorough dialogue concerning the resolution of lingering matters along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the Western Sector, as confirmed by the ministry's statement.
Furthermore, a commitment was made to efficiently address the outstanding concerns and uphold the current pace of discussions and negotiations, utilizing both military and diplomatic channels.
