Over 15,000 more Rohingyas enter Bangladesh amid attacks in Rakhine

Over the past 8-10 days, over 15,000 more Rohingya have entered Bangladesh and sought refuge in various camps as conflict intensifies in Myanmar's Rakhine State, multiple sources have confirmed.

Around 50,000 more Rohingya are reportedly waiting to cross the border. The refugees are entering Bangladesh through areas such as Ukhiya and Teknaf in Cox's Bazar, as well as Naikhongchhari in Bandarban, with many relying on smuggling networks to cross the Naf River.
Officials from the International Organization for Migration and the Office of the Refugee Relief and Repatriation, speaking anonymously, have corroborated the reports of this recent surge in arrivals over the past few weeks.
The renewed conflict in Myanmar's Rakhine State which erupted in February between the Myanmar military and the Arakan Army insurgents has intensified, prompting thousands of Rohingya to flee.
Local sources report that the refugees are entering Bangladesh through 25-30 border points in areas such as Teknaf’s Jadimora, Damdamia, Keruntali, and Ukhiya’s Balukhali and Anjumanpara, often with the help of smuggling networks.
