Bangladeshi shot dead by Indian Forces near border

A Bangladeshi man identified as Rafiul Islam Tuklu (33) hailing from Dangarpara village in Patgram, was fatally shot by India's Border Security Force (BSF) along the Angorpota-Dahagram border in Lalmonirhat's.

The tragic incident occurred early today, as reported by a Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB) official.
According to Nayek Subedar Golam Mustafa, the camp commander of Angorpota BGB camp under BGB Battalion-51, BSF members took custody of Tuklu's body, transferring it to the Indian side of the border.
The BGB official relayed information from locals, stating that Tuklu entered India through the Angorpota-Dahgram border at the Dangarpara point around 4:30 am. At that moment, a patrol team from Arjun Camp under BSF Battalion-6 in West Bengal's Cooch Behar district opened fire, resulting in Tuklu being shot and killed on the spot.
In response to the incident, Mekhliganj Police Station in India, with the assistance of BSF, recovered the body and brought it to the police station this morning.
Expressing their concern and dissatisfaction with the unfortunate event, the BGB official mentioned that a formal letter has been dispatched to the BSF. The letter serves as both a protest against the incident and a request for the immediate return of Tuklu's body.
