Saudi crown prince and Finland PM greets Sheikh Hasina on reelection as PM
Finland Prime Minister Petteri Orpo and Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman have extended their congratulations to Sheikh Hasina on her reelection as Premier of Bangladesh.
In a congratulatory letter, Finland's Prime Minister Petteri Orpo said, "I wish to extend to you my congratulations on your renewed term as the Prime Minister of Bangladesh and the formation of a new government for your country." He emphasized the solid foundation of friendly relations between the two countries, anticipating the further development of cooperation across various fields for mutual benefit.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman conveyed his congratulations to Sheikh Hasina Wajed through a cable. The Crown Prince, also the Kingdom’s prime minister, wished Sheikh Hasina "all success" and the Bangladeshi people "steady progress and prosperity," as reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Sheikh Hasina secured her fourth consecutive term in office during Bangladesh's general election on January 7, maintaining her status as the world’s longest-serving female head of government.
