India, China, Russia and four other countries congratulate PM Hasina
Ambassadors from India, Russia, China, Bhutan, Philippines, Singapore and Sri Lanka extended their congratulations to Premier Sheikh Hasina, acknowledging the victory of the Awami League in the national elections.
Today (8th January) the ambassadors representing their respective countries in Bangladesh paid a visit to PM Sheikh Hasina at her official residence Ganabhaban, as a gesture of goodwill.
Additionally, the delegation from the Aga Khan Diplomatic Representative also met with Sheikh Hasina during this time.
During these interactions, the ambassadors reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to fostering continued collaboration with Bangladesh. Prime Minister Hasina graciously thanked them for their congratulations and emphasized the importance of their cooperation in furthering the development and progress of Bangladesh.
According to the Bangladesh's Election Commission's data, the candidates from the ruling Awami League, symbolized by the boat, secured a substantial 223 seats, while independent candidates secured 61 seats in the recent elections.
