Foreign observers satisfied with Bangladesh polls
Foreign observers have conveyed their contentment with the electoral climate and lavished praise on Bangladesh's 12th parliamentary election.
Andrei Shutov, the Russian observer, addressed a press conference at a Dhaka hotel on Sunday evening, affirming their satisfaction with Bangladesh's overall electoral environment. He highlighted that the 12th parliamentary election in Bangladesh was conducted in a free, fair, and inclusive manner.
A group of election observers from various entities including the Russian Federation, OIC Mission, South Asian Federation, Arab Parliament, a Scottish parliamentary member, and a representative from Gambia attended the press conference.
During the joint press conference held in Dhaka's capital at a hotel on Sunday evening, these observers collectively expressed their satisfaction with the electoral proceedings.
Additionally, a Scottish lawmaker participating in the event also commended the management of polling time arrangements.
Earlier, Eli M. Gold, the President of the Gold Institute for International Strategy, shared with the media that he had encountered about 40 polling agents inside the premises of Gulshan Model School, one of the voting centers in the Dhaka-17 constituency.
"After observing the activities at this center, I can attest that the electoral procedures were carried out seamlessly," he conveyed to reporters after his visit.
The Gold Institute is a non-profit think tank based in Washington, DC, focused on addressing emerging national security concerns in the United States, Canada, and European nations.
