Cyclone Mocha: Bangladesh sends humanitarian aid to Myanmar

The Bangladesh government has sent humanitarian aid to Myanmar's Cyclone Mocha affected Rakhine people.

A Bangladesh Navy ship dispatched 120 ton of relief supplies, consisting of dry food, tents, medicine, and water purification tablets, from Chittagong to Yangon on Friday.
These relief materials were collected under the initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in collaboration with the Ministry of Disaster and Relief Management and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
The relief ship is scheduled to reach the port of Yangon on Monday. At least  800,000 people in Myanmar were affected by Cyclone Mocha.
Bangladesh also provided humanitarian assistance to the people of Myanmar, during the floods in 2015 and the devastating Cyclone Nargis in 2008.
