US, China set to hold fresh talks on trade disputes

China and the United States are gearing up for fresh discussions regarding their trade disputes. This marks the third day of US Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo's official visit to Beijing.

Raimondo's journey to China is part of a broader pattern of high-level visits by US officials in recent months, reflecting Washington's efforts to ease tensions with the world's second-largest economy.
In a meeting held on Monday, Raimondo engaged with China's Commerce Minister, Wang Wentao. During this dialogue, both sides reached an accord to establish a working group. This group's primary purpose is to address the extensive list of trade disputes that have strained relations between the two nations.
Furthermore, they jointly decided to create what Washington refers to as an 'export control enforcement information exchange.' This platform is envisaged as a means to 'minimize misconceptions regarding US national security policies.'
The inaugural session of this information exchange initiative is scheduled to take place on Tuesday at the Ministry of Commerce in Beijing, according to statements from Washington.
