Bangladesh sets $72b export target for FY24
The Bangladesh government today fixed an annual goods and service export target of 72 billion US dollar for the current fiscal year, projecting an 11.59 percent year-on-year growth.
Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi announced the target at a media conference at his secretariat office in Dhaka.
Of the targeted amount, 62 billion dollar has been fixed for merchandise shipment, up from 55.55 billion dollar in the last financial year.
Export target for services for 2023-24 has been set at $10 billion, an increase of 11.11% from 9 billion dollar in FY23.
